I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificant!
Finally, after many years of preparation, studying, and experience, I can now call myself a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant!
Frequent readers of FPPad have been following my recent experience preparing for the certification exam, attending Ken Zahn’s live review course, and communicating with the CFP Board regarding exam results.
It’s a tremendous relief knowing that I have finally satisfied all of the elements required of CFP® certificants: Education, Examination, Experience, and Ethics.
The CFP Board also recently released additional statistics from the July 2008 exam. Below is information on how many people sat for the most recent exam:
Of the 2,249 individuals who sat for the July 2008 exam, 1,222 passed, representing a pass rate of 54.3%.
The rest of the statistics can be viewed by clicking here.
I want to thank all of those for their congratulations and support during this long process. It is a privilege to be a part of over 58,000 financial planners in the United States who are authorized by CFP Board to use the CFP® certification marks. Fine company, indeed.
