Traffic from Texas visitors to my blog is up over 130% in the month of January versus the month of December, but much of the increase in traffic is due to people searching for information on the release of the November CFP® Certification Exam results.

It’s hard to tell if my blog is having a direct impact on my job search, but I have heard from one or two Texas-based advisers who visited and enjoyed the content.

Nevertheless, the blog provides an interesting online resume of sorts, as my experience with technology tools and insight on my thought process definitely come out in my posts.

Since you mentioned the Career Day, I’m wondering if your blog is helping with your job hunt.

I suggested blogs as a tool when I spoke recently spoke about freelance writing careers as part of a Boston Security Analysts Society panel on “Alternative Careers for CFA Charterholders.”
